Back to black at Laser Prototypes with SL7820 resin

Laser Prototypes has added the new black ABS like  SL7820 resin to the stereolithography materials range.

The new resin offers considerable time and cost savings for gloss black prototype models as it eliminates the need for finishing/casting.

This ABS like resin is likely to have particular appeal to the automotive and electronics industry where black is the colour of choice for concept modelling.

SL7820 resin is a white, low viscosity SLA resin that reacts with UV laser to produce strong, black prototype models with excellent surface finish and detail. Suitable for building automotive parts, consumer goods, packaging, electronics, housing and toys, SL7820 demonstrates high impact strength and good dimensional stability even in humid conditions.
