Ulsters future engineers visit LPE

Masters students from the University of Ulster’s School of Engineering visited LPE yesterday to gain greater insight into rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing technologies.

The visit organised by Wesley McKnight, Senior Lecturer at the University of Ulster provided the students with a unique opportunity to view Rapid Prototyping technologies in action, providing greater understanding of design for prototyping and the applications of this technology.

The visit included a tour of the Stereolithography, Selective Laser Sintering, Vacuum Casting and CNC Machining facilities.
