Rapid Manufacturing

LPE offer both the services range and the finishing capabilities to help you meet low volume production requirements. A cost effective solution for small quantities of highly customised products, additive manufacturing can assist in early market testing where runs of hundreds or thousands are required, allowing for any design errors to be identified prior to committing to tooling.
All Rapid Prototyping processes work by adding layers of material to build up three-dimensional objects. It is the belief of many people that Rapid Prototyping technology will eventually move into the heart of the manufacturing process and production parts will be made by these additive techniques. This area has become known as Rapid Manufacturing and at present all Rapid Manufacturing uses technologies initially developed for Rapid Prototyping.
Many companies worldwide have embraced Rapid Manufacture and it has replaced traditional methods of production. At LPE, we have completed Stereolithography and Selective Laser Sintering runs of 300 and 4000 respectively of single components, and certain markets such as the hearing aid industry have been totally transformed through the use of Rapid Manufacture.
The advent of Rapid Manufacturing will have profound changes on the way products are designed in the future. Manufacture will no longer be constrained by the complexity of design or the availability and location of tooling. At LPE, we can help make this a reality for you and can very quickly advise if Rapid Manufacturing is a viable solution for you today.
