Development of Metal Sintering Service at LPE

Laser Prototypes (Europe) Ltd is in receipt of a Grant for SFA Capital support from Invest NI for expanding and developing its metal sintering service. This project which is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020 aims to help qualify the metal sintering process so that it can be used by our customers for manufacture of production parts. There are a lot of exciting developments currently happening in our additive metal manufacturing department and we will have further updates on this and other projects soon.

LPE has added new DLP materials to the wide range on offer. The very latest Rubber-BLK 10, HI TEMP 300 AMB and MED-WHT 10 all offer customers more realistic prototypes, fully workable in the toughest environments.

World renowned expert provides training on Titanium Alloys to LPE

LPE recently installed Titanium on our largest direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) machine, the EOS M290, and we are now fully engaged in the supply, processing and application of Titanium alloys for the Aerospace and Medical industries. LPE are committed to continuously expanding our knowledge in the field of metal additive manufacturing, a field which is developing rapidly as more and more research into metal alloys is conducted. LPE are excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the TCT 2018 Awards in the Creative Application Award Category. The TCT awards will be held on the evening of the second day of the TCT show. LPE help local students take flight!

LPE were delighted to have been able to help local Stage 3 MEng Aerospace Engineering students at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) with their entry into the British Model Flying Association’s Payload Challenge which is due to take place at the start of June 2018. The goal of the competition is to carry a payload of polystyrene balls around a circuit, land, refill, and then launch again, completing as many laps with as many balls as possible in a six minute time slot.
