Local engineering students visit LPE

As one of the UK’s leading Additive Manufacturing Companies, LPE is dedicated to demonstrating to future generations of engineers the endless possibilities that the latest additive manufacturing technologies present.

As part of this mission, this month LPE welcomed a group of mechanical engineering students from the North West Regional College to our premises to view the manufacturing processes that we offer and gain an insight into how their academic studies relate to the very latest manufacturing technologies available.
Throughout the tour and presentation, LPE representatives demonstrated the current benefits and limitations of additive manufacturing and the wide range of possible applications of the technologies.

Speaking of the visit, Liam O’Connor, lecturer at North West Regional College said, “Company visits help make what is taught on the course more real for students and we appreciated LPE giving us the opportunity to visit their premises and see their technologies in action. The students enjoyed visiting LPE and were interested to see first-hand the applications of some of the most innovative engineering technologies currently available.”
